Wallasea Island (RSPB), 15:00 to 17:30, Heavy rain easing to late sunshine and lighter winds though still breezy. Main wader flocks on Jubilee numbers approximate in c 7500 birds. Golden Plover and Lapwing over south lagoons.
1 Great White Egret (happily wandering around grassland patch south of Grass Farm lagoons), 1 Hen Harrier, 120 Avocet, 2500 Golden Plover (Over S lagoons), 1400 Grey Plover (In mixed flock on Jubilee), 1500 Lapwing (Most over S lagoons), 3000 Knot (In mixed flock on Jubilee), 2000 Dunlin (In mixed flock on Jubilee), 1400 Bar-tailed Godwit (In mixed flock on Jubilee), 500 Redshank (Mostly Jubilee), 1 Short-eared Owl (One hover hunting over wbc late on), 1 Stonechat, 1 Stoat (In ermine.
