10 Long-tailed Tit (+, 2 adults,and at least 8 young.Tried "pishing" ,it worked, some of the youngsters came within about a metre!) [Allan Ward]

1 Pheasant, 1 Cuckoo (probably another present,calling from far end of wood,or the same ,having moved.), 3 Nightingale (singing), 3 Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaff, 4 Willow Warbler (possibly more), 2 Carrion Crow (these records are for Birchett wood.) [Allan Ward]
