Oare Marshes, 14:45 to 16:30, hot,mainly sunny,just a few drops of rain!!
4 Black-winged Stilt, 1 Little Ringed Plover (on mud,east flood), 8 Ruff (probably 10), 800 Black-tailed Godwit (approx), 1 Spotted Redshank (east flood), 1 Bonaparte's Gull (east flood,fair views), 2 Common Tern, 1 Little Owl (sitting in elderflower tree) [Malcolm McVail]

Burntwick Island, 14:30 to 14:30, Hot and sunny with light breeze. Observations by boat during WeBS count.
6 Herring Gull (3+ pairs with young (2,2,1)), 90 Sandwich Tern (60 adults plus 11 fledged young/juvs near colony site and gathering of 30 adults plus 7 fledged young/juvs on E wall of Greenborough. Hopefully many more young already dispersed with adults to Thames Estuary and along N Kent coast. Good to record some breeding success for this, Kent's only colony, despite increasing problems with tidal flooding.), 1 Common Tern (No birds at site of former active colony (55 AON on 11/6) though smaller colony still active on N Greenborough (20 adults plus 2 fledged young/juvs) and along E wall (15 adult plus 3 fledged young/juvs) ) [Murray Orchard]
